The life of Jackie Kallen (Meg Ryan) is highlighted in this film about a woman attempting to make it to the top in the highly testosterone-driven sport of boxing. This real-life story about an inspired sports promoter revolves around her and her client, Luther (Omar Epps). While her career soars, despite the backlash received from critics and boxers alike, her private life begins to unravel. The team, joined by trainer Felix (Charles S. Dutton) has to literally fight to the top and work extra hard to gain the respect of fellow boxer and those in the grossly competitive industry.
